Gated Techno Lead
Techno music is widely known for its driving beats and hypnotic sounds, with the bassline being a crucial element of the genre. In this article, we'll take you through the process of creating a techno-inspired pad bass with a stutter effect using Diva and A1 Trigger plugins.
To start, we set up Diva as a plugin in our DAW and programmed a long pad bass with interval jumps. Using Diva's oscillator, filter, and modifications, we adjusted the settings to achieve the desired sound, adding osc 1 and detuned osc 2 to enhance the complexity of the sound.
Next, we created a stutter effect using A1 Trigger, selecting the trance gate preset and modifying the ADSR release and steps to create different rhythmic patterns. We also utilized the LFO to add movement to the sound, modulating various parameters such as filter cutoff, FM, and resonance.
By following these steps, you can create your unique techno-inspired pad bass with a stutter effect that adds depth and drive to your tracks. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced producer, this technique is a great way to bring more character and complexity to your music.
Techno Bass With Diva
In this latest techno how-to, we are going to look at creating a techno bass with U-he's semi-modular analog emulator DIVA. We will specifically be looking at the lovely raw M-20 emulator. From there we will be looking at using modifiers to ensure we add movement to the sound.
Generating Techno Beats with XO
In our latest video, we are going to look at using XLN audio’s amazing drum machine XO. With XO, we will be looking at loading our own samples, editing samples, routing and most importantly generating our own techno beats.
We will also look at setting up XO so you can quickly load it into any session and have a beat going in minutes which is perfect for people with little time on their hands.
